Rodent Control

Beginning in January of 2025, California commercial pest control regulations changed. Commercial poison rodent applications were no longer permitted. Instead, catch and release programs were encouraged. This approach is not effective at the Cherry Hills property.

The Barn Owl Rodent Project

After researching the very few options available, we are trying a natural predator eradication approach.  Temecula Wine Country has had significant success with this approach using Barn Owl Nesting boxes. These boxes are installed on poles throughout the property and encourage barn owls to nest. They then look for food sources, rodents, to eat. For more information on the research of these boxes, please visit The Barn Owl Rodent Project.

PLEASE BE AWARE, SMALL PETS INCLUDING DOGS AND CATS MAY BE SEEN AS PREY. ALWAYS ACCOMPANY YOUR PET OUTDOORS. BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS.
